A holy Thursday
My aunt, uncle and cousins were coming from New York for a visit on Holy Thursday, so I took a half day from work to go meet them for dinner with my parents. I worked the morning from home, which I absolutely love doing. It meant a bit of a lie-on and then the chance for a daytime run. Of course the boss got in touch just as I was hoping to finish up, but I was only a bit delayed in the end.
It was allegedly 16 degrees C though it felt a bit cooler with a wind at the start, but it was nonetheless very pleasant and I got my legs out for the first time this year! As in 3/4 length running leggings. I have nightmares where I am wandering round in public in my underwear or nightdress, so running in shorts is not an option for me really, despite the heat. Buts that’s me.
I did an easy 2 miles and then rushed around to get ready before the taxi came. We had a lovely visit with the relatives, who were seeing Dublin at its best on a beautiful spring day. All in all it was a holy day.
