Off to a good start

I said last night I would go for a run today and am happy to report that I did. As usual I wished I had ran more over the holidays but that is typical me. Anyway I made my choices. Two easy miles on New Year’s Day beats sitting on the couch. Even better, Peter hung up the medal holder that my family got me when I did the marathon - it looks great and tidies up all my medals. So I think the new year is off to a good start.

Thank you 2018

I haven’t run in a few weeks; I pulled something in my shoulder and that laid me up but I have also been lazy, and too full of food and drink to run. But I am not beating myself up. Tomorrow is New Years’ Day and I will try and start the new year with a run. I am running a half marathon in London in March and I did up my training plan for that today. Myself, only faster

Tonight was 10 degrees, felt like 8, and nice and dry so I got out the door before I talked myself out of it. I went a different route which always helps and it was nicely leaf-free. I was probably a bit over-dressed for the temperatures but it didn't slow me down. I am kind of amazed at the times I am running at these days - less than a 10 minute mile for me without particular effort is not usual. Why couldn't I have done that in the marathon??
