Finishing with fuel in the tank.

My plan said 40 minutes on a hilly route but it was too dark to go on the properly hilly route that I use. So I just ran around the neighbourhood for 40 minutes and it was the nicest and best run I had in a long time. My lungs and legs felt good; the only tricky part was watching my step in the dark and not tripping. If it was bright I would have gone further. No harm. Will keep my enthusiasm for 5 miles minimum on Saturday.

I don’t run in the dark — I don’t trust the drivers here, not even in my neighbo(u)rhood. You’re braver than I am.

    • It’s ok here – there are plenty of footpaths so I don’t take any risks. But I don’t trust drivers either! Always have to stop before crossing roads

  2. I wear a headlamp on some of my runs and carry a flashlight too. Keep safe. I had my first run tonight in 0 C. Cold 🙂

    • It’s pretty safe where I live – plenty of footpaths so am generally ok! Weather a bigger challenge! Hope you enjoyed your run.
