Happy Valentine
I really wasn’t that keen to go out tonight. Work has been busy which meant working late all week. I am starting a diploma which will take 6 months study. It’s Valentine’s day. But the half marathon is first on the agenda so I didn’t want to miss a run tonight.
I left work on time and forced myself out the door when I got home. The first mile was so-so but then I got to a nice straight stretch of path so I decided to run a bit faster. I was going to pack it in at 2.4 miles but decided I might as well round it up to 3. So my run turned into a tempo-type thing.
I won’t break any land speed records but miles 2 and 3 were fast for me and the last one included a hill. I enjoyed it and I think running faster does help with general fitness and stamina for longer distances. It’s funny what running can make me do, despite my lazy intentions. Happy Valentine’s day indeed.

Happy valentine! Never occur to me anyone else celebrate St Valentine outside of the US, but then it makes sense because we borrowed it from somewhere, probably from you guys. I will post my run too.
Yes I think St Valentine was a medieval British figure. Americans took loads of things from Europe and made them their own. It’s very commercial though now and lots of people hate it
