Excuses

Between one thing and another I didn’t run all week and I think I felt the negative effects yesterday morning, when I did. 5.25 miles. Back on the canal

Unfortunately I was right about my father requiring admission to hospital. He’s been in almost two weeks now so between that and gale force winds last weekend (boy was I glad I wasn’t training for anything in particular so I could choose not to go out!) there wasn’t much time for running. I am sick and tired of running the route around my house so drove down to the Phoenix Park and started from there. It was 18 degrees C and felt like it. I realised on the way down that I had forgotten my running hat. I normally never run without it but I didn’t want to return home so I started without it. I always joke that my hat makes me invisible, and I did feel a bit exposed but…
