Post quarter-end
I didn’t run at all last week as it was our quarter-end and year-end at work, so we were extra busy. I had to work all over the weekend, and late, but in many ways it was much better being at home for it. No travelling, could get dinner, and no big bosses flapping around having panic attacks and making themselves seem important.
So thankfully it’s done now for another quarter and I’m trying to get back to a normal work routine. I finally sent out my thank-you/memorial cards for my Dad, so I incorporated a trip to the post-box on both Monday and this morning. It rained today for the first time in weeks, which kept the fair-weather walkers at home so it was very quiet out. I didn’t go far, but marathon training will start at the end of the month so my morning runs will have to be longer. Will have to work out the timing of all that but am looking forward to getting started.
Will it be for the Dublin Marathon?
No Dublin marathon has been cancelled but I think they are doing a virtual one. My running group might do our own either! I don’t really mind, I just want to have a goal and structure for my running.
