Recovery run in the sun

Recovery run to start the week. While I had no stiffness after my long run on Saturday, my legs did feel quite heavy and slow this evening, so I took it easy. It was a lovely evening, 22 degrees and hazy, with a cool breeze so it was very nice to be out. I came home then and did some strength exercises and some stretches. My exam is on Friday, so trying to focus. I will be so glad when it’s done.

Nothing to recover from

Recovery run tonight. In truth my legs felt fine after my long run, no stiffness at all. I did my stretches straight away on Saturday and did a bit of foam rolling yesterday. However I did feel generally tired so just did 2 miles. I came home starving but did some strength exercises and stretched. Then did an hour on financial instruments. Now to put the bin out. Such is my life at the moment.

Back in the swing of things

Almost 3 weeks and I haven’t run a step between recovery and other things, so I wanted to get out tonight. It was fine and dry and not too cold - our weather has been coming down from Scandinavia lately and it’s been freezing, but tonight was just nice for running. I really wanted to get back in the swing of things. So I did 2 very easy miles around the block and enjoyed it. My legs still work and everything felt fine. I will hopefully get out for a longer run on Saturday. Now…

Recovery

Quick recovery run tonight. My legs were a little bit sore after Saturday but they still worked so off I went to plod around the neighbourhood. I was proud of myself for leaving work on time when I could have stayed. Have to pace myself this week, seeing as I have to work at the weekend. Quick cup of tea and I am off to bed.
