Running in a time of corona-virus

Well it's a funny old world isn't it? Here we are thinking we are masters of the universe, making plans for ourselves and thinking we are in control of our lives, when boom, mother nature reasserts herself with a virus that spreads like lightening around the world and turns it upside down. 100 miles in a month – the halfway mark

I’ve been updating my progress on Facebook as part of this running challenge so my poor blog has been neglected. I’m running 5 days a week now so no one needs updates on that. I’ve done 55.75 miles out of 100, and at just over half way through the month I’m on target, about 1 mile behind my plan. The weather has been brutal here - we’ve had two named storms in a week, Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, so that has made things a bit tougher and led to lots of running around in…

February 2020 – #100miles1month

1st February - new month, new challenge. Run 100 miles over the month. It means running 5 days a week so it’s a definite step-up for me. But I’m happy to be able to do it and it keeps me occupied. No slacking

It was freezing last night so couldn’t face going out. Much better running conditions tonight, though I found the street lighting a bit lacking in spots. Tonight was supposed to be a speed run, so I picked up the pace a bit. It’s a bit tricky when it’s dark and I’m worrying about my footing but overall was good, I enjoyed it and I did run a bit faster than usual. At least I did it.
